New water pump arrived. Painted it Chevy Orange.

Was going to use fittings from old pump and clean them up, but now I think I'll get new ones.

There are kits to rebuild the fuel pump but they're almost as much as new pump. So I bought a new one. The old one has some odd fittings on it and is not rebuildable. My dad must have adapted a non-Corvette fuel pump to it.

Decided to use original harmonic balancer. Painted it and the bellhousing inspection cover Chevy orange.

Cleaned up the intake manifold and put it on the block just to see how it looks.

Mounted the block to the engine stand. Actually thought it would be easier than it was.

The GM Crate engine arrives. I'm hoping 290 2014 horsepower is about the same as 340 1962 horsepower.

Have been wasting time trying to fix the air compressor.

Ended up buying a new compressor.




Today I jacked the right front of the car up and removed the wheel and brake drum.

Will start rebuilding it this week.
